The Shadow Knight is an evil knight and the strongest and and most destructive character in the online role-playing game "Earthland Realms".

History

Marge, as her elf character, first encountered the Shadow Knight in the game when he attacked a small village. Apu and Moe filled her in on who the Shadow Knight was; he then killed Seymour Skinner's character with his flaming sword.

In real life, Marge discovered that the Shadow Knight was Bart when she saw him sitting at his computer and chuckling evilly about the latest act of senseless violence by the Shadow Knight. Marge was surprised, but proud of him for what he had accomplished.

In "Earthland Realms", the Shadow Knight lived in a castle, had Wench Milhouse as his servant and was a regular customer at a tavern run by Moe's character. When Marge came to visit his castle, she criticized his decorating style, much to Bart's dismay. In Moe's tavern in the game, the Shadow Knight asked Moe to serve him a drink made from blood wrung from the head of a pixie (Nick Riviera). He then told Moe to flog himself with a mace while reciting the goblin's code. Marge then came into the bar and told Bart off for drinking, further annoying him. However, after Marge accidentally went into the bullies' camp, the Shadow Knight saved her.

Bart accidentally killed Marge's character and then brought her back to life by donating two-thirds of his health points, which left him very weak. The rest of the characters from the town took advantage of his vulnerability to gang up on the Shadow Knight and gruesomely kill him. Marge created a new character, Warrios, and went on a quest to take revenge on those who killed the Shadow Knight.
