Character Information
|
Elijah Dunn was a sailor and ship's cook.
History[edit]
Elijah Dunn had been a cook on the SS Agnew, a garbage scow, and everyone thought his food was garbage. One day, a one-armed nun named Sister Mary Catherine came aboard the ship, headed on a mission to minister to the nearly unwealthy. Elijah Dunn became smitten with her and cooked a better meal than usual to get her attention. After the meal, Dunn proposed to Mary Catherine, who rejected him because she was a nun.
The rejection didn't deter Elijah, who kept asking her to marry him, which annoyed the ship's crew. Getting desperate, Elijah jumped onto the rails of the ship and asked Mary Catherine to come with him and get married by the sea. When Mary Catherine refused again, Elijah asked her to help him get down. However, he slipped and fell into the sea, declaring revenge against two-armed people as he fell.
In the present day, the ghost of Elijah Dunn was heard screaming on Captain Horatio McCallister's ship. Elijah Dunn claimed the life of the sailor Hornpipe Joe as part of his revenge.
