Jacques is a bowling instructor who pursued an affair with Marge Simpson.
History[edit]
Jacques in
the Simpsons Movie.
Jacques offers to teach Marge Simpson to bowl after she receives a bowling ball for her birthday. He is captivated by Marge and slowly tries to woo her. While at brunch, which Jacques explains as "not quite breakfast, not quite lunch, but you get a slice of cantalope at the end". Jacques finds the courage to ask Marge back to his apartment in Fiesta Terrace. He ends up alone when Marge chose to stick with her true love Homer. Marge believed that his last name was "Brunswick", because it was engraved on his bowling ball yet that was really only the brand of his ball.[1]
He once placed a classified ad in the Springfield Shopper, offering ladies "bowling" lessons. He assured complete discretion and demanded that a photo be included with every response.[2]
He is later as a part of a bowling team called the Home Wreckers, consisting of Princess Kashmir, Mindy Simmons, and Lurleen Lumpkin.[3]
He took part in the world's tallest human pyramid record attempt.[4]
He is seen as part of the angry mob trying to find Homer.[5]
Jacques continued working as a bowling instructor and seducing his customers. However, he never forgot Marge. When Homer brought Jacques in as a bowling instructor for Marge, he tried to seduce her once again. However, Marge rejected his advances and tried to keep their relationship professional. When Homer found out that Jacques was seducing his pupils, he went to confront him and found that Jacques' apartment was full of pictures of Marge. Homer fought against Jacques until Marge turned up and told Homer that nothing happened between the two of them. Later, Jacques played against Marge in a bowling match to decide the fate of Barney's Bowlarama. After a close game, Marge ended up winning by one point. After the match, Chief Wiggum arrested Jacques as he was in the USA on an expired bowling visa.[6]
Personality[edit]
Jacques is somewhat of a Casanova and mainly seems to try to seduce his clients instead of actually teaching them anything. He speaks with a French accent, yet when he yells he mysteriously seems to lose the accent.
