Max was an ice cream man whose best customer was Homer.

History

Homer got fired, chasing after the ice cream van, but while giving Homer his change, he suffered a heart attack and died. At his funeral, Max's wife gave Homer his ice cream truck and Homer became an ice cream man.

In Bart's coma dream, Max was one of the ghosts who came to Bart to get help to move on to the afterlife.
