Steve Johnson was a Shinigami, a god of death.

History[edit]

Steve Johnson was born eons ago and grew up in a nursery cave. At some point, he became the Shinigami and released the Death Tome on the world. The Death Tome fell into the control of Lisa who was initially skeptical about the book. When Lisa saw on the news that Snake Jailbird was threatening to kill Tofu the cat, Lisa decided to write that Snake died from a heart attack in the Death Tome. At that exact moment, Snake died, releasing Tofu in the process. Lisa was shocked that the book worked and went up to her room where Steve Johnson appeared to her and explained that the book was now hers since she used it.

Steve Johnson then explained to Lisa that only she could see him. When Lisa and Steve Johnson went downstairs, they overheard Mr. Burns talking about flooding the city to allow his yacht to dock outside his kitchen. Lisa then immediately used the Death Tome to kill Burns, which surprised Steve Johnson as he thought Lisa would have more of a dilemma over it. After Burns died, Steve Johnson pointed out that Globo-Warm had a large board of directors who all wanted to flood the planet, so Lisa got to work killing them all.

After Lisa had killed the entire Globo-Warm board of directors, the news started to talk about it and stated that it was a serial killer who did it. A mysterious source called L told the media that the murders were done by someone writing in a supernatural book. Lisa decided that she had to kill L to save herself, which Steve Johnson pointed out was only saving herself from jail, not saving the world. When Lisa failed to kill L, Steve Johnson told her that she had to know his full name for it to work. Lisa then figured out that L was actually El for "El Barto", her brother.

Lisa and Steve Johnson confronted Bart together and Lisa started to write his name in the Death Tome. When Bart was surprised that Lisa would really kill him, Lisa realized that the Death Tome had corrupted her. She then used the tome to kill Steve Johnson instead by crushing him with space junk, freeing her. However, upon Steve Johnson's death, Lisa turned into the next Shinigami.

Behind the Laughter[edit]

Steve Johnson is a parody of Ryuk from Death Note.
