Curly Joe DeRita’k', called Curly Four in the episode, is one of The Three Stooges

History

He was seen in an episode of The Three Stooges entitled "Brittle Boneheads". He was poked to death by Moe Howard who then tried to wake him up afterwards, to no avail.[1]

The Springfield Shopper's August 1, 1933 headline was "Curly to Shemp: You're Out!".[2]

Behind the Laughter

  • Being called Curly Four is a reference to the original Curly being replaced by Shemp Howard. This is actually Curly Joe DeRita.
