Willie Nelson is an American musician, singer, actor, and activist. He has spent some time in Springfield; in fact, he used to own a house there.
History[edit]
When the police used Princess Opal to find Principal Skinner, she saw that Willie Nelson would astound his fans by swimming the English Channel. Clancy Wiggum was surprised when he heard that.[1]
Nelson's house was turned into Krusty's Clown College, as revealed by the billboard at the entrance that read "Formerly Willie Nelson's house."[2]
Sebastian Cabot's Beard Book contains a foreword by Willie Nelson.[3]

Willie Nelson attended the launch event for The Drederick. After Homer accidentally burned the building down, Nelson ran out with his clothes on fire. He said that his hemp clothes burned like paper.[5]

Willie Nelson and Doctor Hibbert have been close friends since college. Hibbert asked Willie to perform a "Phony Awards" show to reconcile the Simpsons. The Simpsons all accepted Willie's efforts on their behalf because they couldn't say no to him. Nelson had a comb machine in his house, which often jammed when making a hairstyle for him.[7]
