History
Nimoy was present at the opening of the Springfield Monorail. He was the Grand Marshal of the opening ceremony, and joked, "I'd say this vessel could do at least Warp 5." He also stopped Krusty from jumping out of the monorail because "the world needs laughter" and annoyed other passengers by making sci-fi references and jokes.[1]
A picture of Leonard Nimoy is on the wall at The Pimento Grove.[2]
Nimoy was the narrator of the story about an alien but was later replaced by the Squeaky-voiced teen. He later came to Springfield and sang with the rest of the townspeople after the mystery of the alien was solved.[3]
When Mr. Burns was searching for the Loch Ness Monster, Homer asked him if he really thinks he can find him because he has eluded Leonard Nimoy and Peter Graves.[4]
Nimoy wrote the autobiographies I Am Not Spock, I Am Spock and I Am Also Scotty.[5]
A picture of Leonard Nimoy was seen on the wall of Springfield Sardi's.[6]
He made the album Ballad of Bilbo Baggins.[7]
A statue of Nimoy was put in Springfield after the Monorail incident, with the engraving stating that he saved everyone from the Monorail. It was then destroyed by the runaway monorail train.[8]
