Kurt Vonnegut was an American writer.

History[edit]

When the Simpson family was going on a plane, their bag was two pounds over the limit. Bart asked Lisa if she really needed all the Kurt Vonnegut novels she had packed, which included the book Timequake. Lisa told him that they self-reference each other.[1]

Sam Monroe's family owned a copy of The Collected Kurt Vonnegut.[2]

In a story imagined by Marge when she thought about what life would be like if Homer was always smiling, Kurt Vonnegut was on The Late Evening Program with Krusty the Clown where he was discussing Slaughterhouse-Five. Krusty asked Vonnegut if he would understand Slaughterhouse-Five if he hadn't read the first four. Vonnegut said that the book was a darkly humorous exploration of the randomness of existence.[3]

He was one of the many people on "Ned's List of Laudable Lefties".[4]
