Tom Petty was an American singer and musician.

History[edit]

Tom Petty held a lyrics workshop at The Rolling Stones' Rock N' Roll Fantasy Camp. He was talking about how lyrics were the hardest part about songwriting, but Homer cut him off saying "BORING!" When Petty realized that everyone just wanted mindless, generic rock, he started to play and sing a song.

Petty took part at a charity concert with the other rock stars, which Homer had been invited to. Homer was annoyed that he was just on stage to test the mic. He then performed a song, which caused the rock stars to chase Homer down. This resulted in a fire at the stadium. During the chaos, Tom Petty lost his toe and had to have medical attention. After the fire was put out, Petty and the other rock stars apologized to Homer for the way they treated him and invited Homer to perform with them at another concert. However, Homer declined.[1]

Tom Petty's picture was on a captcha screen for bebop jazz musicians on the Wayz website. It was one of the pictures that Lisa didn't click.[2]
