Star Trek XII: So Very Tired is a movie advertised on TV, billed as the "latest and greatest" adventure of Star Trek's original series cast. The commercial is seen by Bart, Lisa and Grampa.
The characters of Star Trek's original series are featured, although they have all aged considerably and become weary with their adventures. Kirk complains about his hernia and that "nobody listens" to what he says and reacts with boredom when informed by a cane-using Sulu that there are Klingons on the starboard bow. Scotty is also so overweight he can no longer reach the control panel in Engineering.
Behind the Laughter[edit]
- The real Star Trek XII , Star Trek Into Darkness, was released in May 2013. While it did feature the characters from the original series, they were played by different actors with the exception of a brief appearance of Leonard Nimoy as Spock, and takes place in an alternate universe.
