David Mirkin (born September 18, 1955) is an American director, writer and producer. He currently serves as a producer for The Simpsons and previously served as a writer, consulting producer, and executive producer. He served as the showrunner from season 5 to season 6.

He was also interviewed in The Simpsons: Celebrity Friends, The Simpsons: Mischief & Mayhem, The Simpsons: Access All Areas, and The Simpsons 20th Anniversary Special – In 3-D! On Ice!.
