"Pulpit Friction" is the eighteenth episode of broadcast season 24 of The Simpsons and the five hundred twenty-sixth episode overall. It originally aired on April 28, 2013. The episode was written by Bill Odenkirk and directed by Chris Clements. It guest stars Edward Norton as Elijah Hooper.

Synopsis

When Springfield becomes infested with bedbugs, Reverend Lovejoy can't cope with nobody listening to him in the middle of the panic. A new minister, Elijah Hooper, then comes onto the scene, and everyone prefers him over Lovejoy, except Ned and Bart. Meanwhile, Marge finds out her dry cleaners mistakenly swapped her wedding dress with one of Krusty's costumes.
