History

Mr. Burns owned a photo featuring him and Elvis. He gave it to Smithers after he sold the power plant, as he knew he liked the picture. Mr. Burns never understood what Elvis said.[1] The photo was later seen in Smither's office while he was interviewing Marge.[2] The navy used Elvis to recruit people.[3] Whilst taking Nappien, Homer melted a wax figure of him at Rock 'N' Roll Wax Museum.[4]

Elvis was seen as a character in the Itchy & Scratchy cartoon "Little Barbershop of Horrors".[5]

Elvis Presley was one of the pop stars used to recruit people to the US Navy.[6]

Homer showed Lisa postage stamps with Elvis on. He then made the Elvis stamps kiss stamps with bats on.[7]

He appeared in the film A Zombie Christmas with Bing Crosby, Elvis and the 1932 All American Football Team.[8]

Bart went past the album Doin' It for the Money by Elvis Presley.[9]

During the song "Sasha is a Massive Success", a picture of Elvis Presley was seen on the wall.[10]

Elvis's gravestone was seen in the Springfield Cemetery a couple of times.[11] The caption under his name said "ACCEPT IT".[12]

Behind the Laughter

The gravestone caption is a reference to persistent rumors of Elvis actually being alive. The rumors began circulating immediately after his 1977 death.
