Jefferson Airplane was an American soft rock band.

History[edit]

While driving with Bart and Lisa, Homer discussed the development of rock music, claiming that Grand Funk Railroad paved the way for Jefferson Airplane, which in turn led to Jefferson Starship. He continued by mentioning The Alan Parsons Project, which he believed was a type of hovercraft. Bart interrupted him, criticizing his musical taste and referring to the bands as "dinosaur bands."
