Garfunkel, Messina, Oates and Lisa is a group.
History[edit]
Lisa Simpson felt threatened by the arrival of a new student, Allison Taylor, who appeared to surpass her in musical ability. In a brief fantasy sequence, Lisa imagined a scenario in which she accepted being second best. In this vision, she performed as part of a band composed of lesser-known counterparts from established musical duos. The group prepared to perform their supposed number-two hit, “Born to Runner-Up,” but was met with a hostile audience that booed them off the stage.
