When the Simpsons went to Bookaccino's, Marge saw Esme Delacroix there. She was reading her book, To Kiss a Scoundrel to various people. Inspired by her, Marge decided to start writing a book herself. Later, Marge sent her book, The Harpooned Heart, to Esme to get her feedback on. Esme told Marge that it was the best book her assistant had ever summarized to her. She then helped Marge get endorsements from famous writers.
