She loved Homer's unintentional art (a failed attempt to make a barbecue) and put it on display in her gallery. She, along with many other art lovers, became bored with Homer's art when they are all too similar.[2]
She was part of an angry mob and was seen when 742 Evergreen Terrace was destroyed.[3]
When Bart and Ralph were having a tea party, she knocked at the Wiggum family's residence and said to Ralph, who she thought was "El Barto", that she represented the Pretentiousaria Art Gallery in Capital City and they had seen some of his sample artwork in his online police file and they loved it. Ralph mentioned how he didn't remember even doing it. Astrid Weller replied with "I'm sure Picasso doesn't remember everything from his blue period either." She also said that Pretentiousaria Art Gallery would like commission Ralph to paint their next show. She said how the Pretentiousaria Art Gallery was a small gallery and can only offer ten thousand dollars and hoped Ralph didn't find that offensive. Bart interrupted Ralph and said that he was the infamous El Barto. Astrid Weller pat Bart's head and said "Adorable! So, El Barto, when can you paint the piece for us?" to Ralph and Ralph said that he would do it now if it was okay with Bart. Later, it was being held live on Channel 6 News at the Wiggum's house, but Dolph, Jimbo, and Kearney threw a bowling ball each at Ralph and Homer managed to stop them and however, his ball kept going and knocked the garage down. Soon afterwards, Kent Brockman interviewed her and she said that Ralph wasn't El Barto because of the single line he painted he wasn't El Barto and she was an art history major.[4]
