Louis Armstrong was a musician from New Orleans.
History
When Lisa had lost her confidence as a jazz musician, she and Homer came across a statue of Louis Armstrong, who was Lisa's hero. Homer left Lisa to look at the statue and Lisa wished the statue could talk. The statue them came to life and Louis Armstrong told Lisa that he was waiting for someone to make that wish. He then told Lisa to keep searching and that she could find anything she wanted in New Orleans. Lisa then asked him what life was like in Heaven. His last advice to Lisa was "your father knows best." Louis Armstrong then offered to sing anything but "It's a Wonderful World" to them, which Homer then requests.
Later, Louis Armstrong reappears, this time as a ghost, in Lisa's bedroom. When Lisa asked him my a ghost was sweating, he said that he didn't know but he'd give anything for a new shirt. He then said that he also wanted to be alive again.[1]
Louis Armstrong appeared in another fantasy of Lisa's when Lisa was thinking of reasons why America is great. Armstrong told Lisa that he's tired of appearing in Lisa's fantasies and told Lisa to get back to America. Armstrong then started to walk into Canada but was stopped by Abraham Lincoln who asked him what he was going over there for. Louis Armstrong then said he was going to get cannabis as it was made legal.[2]
