Emily Winthrop is the British owner and operator of Emily Winthrop's Canine College.

When she was nine years old, her dog named Lord Smiley died. After a long month of depression, she decided to dedicate her life to train dogs, and make them well educated in the image of he pooch.[1] She has been training dogs since 1954, when she graduated Lord Smiley. She believes that "choke" and "chain" are the most important words in life. Her favorite magazine is JOCO (Journal of Canine Obedience).
