The southern colonel is a colonel who accepts Homer's challenge to a duel.

History

When slapping people in the Kwik-E-Mart challenging people to a duel, the colonel accepts. He says it'll be a pistol duel at sunrise.

He then comes to the Simpsons house and knocks on the door with his wife and tells Homer to come out. The rest of the family then carry out an old Christmas tree (with Homer holding onto the back) and say they're taking it to the dump. He offers to help carry it but Marge says no. He then offers to shoot it into smaller pieces.

When they return home, the colonel is still waiting outside the house. They get ready to duel until he smells Marge's pies. Homer then asks if they're dueling or now. The colonel then turns around and shoots Homer in the arm, but the bone stopped the bullet.
