The farmer is a man who owns a farm.
History
One night, Ruth Powers took out her frustration over her ex-husband by firing a gun at a line of cans on a fence. She later helped Marge Simpson do the same. Overhearing their activity, the farmer jostled outside while still in his pajamas, dismayed to see his cans ruined.
He saw two pigs, Teresa and Steve run past, then noticed that the barn door was open. He grabbed a pitchfork strapped to a shotgun and went to check it out. After not finding anything in the barn, he goes to check his media room.
