Description

Donny's most prominent traits are his mischievousness, rebelliousness, disrespect for authority and sharp tongue. Donny was used by Principal Skinner and Superintendent Chalmers to snitch on Bart's plans. He becomes best friends with Bart.

History

He became a good friend of Bart. He was snitching on Bart and telling Skinner and Chalmers all of his plans, but Bart suspects that the snitch is Milhouse so they beat him up and lock him up and leave him in a locker. Soon, Bart finds out Donny is the snitch and takes him to a factory full of Diet Coke and Mentos. When Bart tells him that he knew Donny was a snitch in Skinner's office he says, "We were going to make nunchuks!" Skinner and Chalmers come and take Bart away. They are going to suspend him for 1 week. When Donny learns this he furiously sets off the Diet Coke and Mentos, and makes Skinner's camera (which he used to record Bart's plan) explode. Donny and Bart become best friends, although Donny decides to leave Springfield. He and Bart haven't gotten into contact since, and his current whereabouts are unknown. Donny and Bart were last seen talking about hanging out sometime, however.[1]

He was in the school cafeteria (with brown hair) when Milhouse was expressing his love for Lisa.[2]

Behind the Laughter

Donny is based on Joseph D. Pistone aka Donnie Brasco, one of the main characters in the film Donnie Brasco, portrayed by Johnny Depp, but also on Billy Costigan, played by Leonardo DiCaprio in the film, Departed.

Trivia

  • Donny is presumed to have a crush on Sherri when he opens a rigged cootie-catcher created by Bart and exclaims, "Cool, Sherri!"
    • However, it is possible that he has a crush on someone else, as the name Donny looked into wasn't even seen and Donny merely exclaimed Sherri's name to prevent embarrassment.
    • It would be ironic if Donny did have a crush on Sherri because Bart once had a crush on Terri. This may symbolize a connection between Bart and Donny.
