Slaughterhouse-Five is a novel by Kurt Vonnegut.
History[edit]
In a story imagined by Marge when she thought about what life would be like if Homer was always smiling, Kurt Vonnegut was on The Late Evening Program with Krusty the Clown where he was discussing Slaughterhouse-Five. Krusty asked Vonnegut if he would understand Slaughterhouse-Five if he hadn't read the first four. Vonnegut said that the book was a darkly humorous exploration of the randomness of existence.
