Eddie Gaedel was an American baseball player. Gaedel, who stood only three foot seven, played a single at-bat for the St. Louis Browns in 1951 before being banned from Major League Baseball due to his height.

History

When Abe Simpson gave his relatives his life saving he told them that he did not have that much as he lost the rest investing in a Broadway musical based on the real-life story of Eddie Gaedel. He wrote a song for the American League president Will Harridge and showed them a video-clip from the musical.
