Wilhelm von Wonthelm was the head of the Prussian Mob.
History
When Fat Tony was a child, there was an uneasy peace between the Springfield Mafia and the Prussian Mob. To maintain peace, each crime boss sent his youngest son to live with the other family as collateral. Fat Tony was sent to live with Wilhelm von Wonthelm, who ran the mob from his restaurant, Das Food. At the time Fat Tony went to live with him, there was a rumor that Wilhelm had never smiled in his life.
Wilhelm's eldest biological son, Maximillian von Wonthelm, did not share Wilhelm's passion for cooking and was part of a ska band, The Skankfurters. After Maximillian left one day, Fat Tony took over from him in the kitchen. Wilhelm then trained him to become a chef. Four years later, Wilhelm became proud of Tony and actually smiled at him. Seeing this, Maximillian became jealous and stormed out. Wilhelm tried to stop him and told him that he needed him with him that night, but the two of them argued. Wilhelm wanted to pass down the recipe for Gewalteintopf: The Stew of Violence to Maximillian, but Maximillian rejected it and left to go play with his band. This rejection was too much for Wilhelm, who then collapsed to the floor. As he was dying, Wilhelm gave the recipe to Fat Tony and told him to never share it with his son.
Years later, the recipe for Gewalteintopf was leaked by Thad Parkour on his show, Kitchen Betrayals! Maximillian, who had taken over as head of the Prussian Mob, tracked down Thad, Fat Tony, and Homer to get revenge for the recipe being revealed to the world. However, after he smelled the stew from all the people in town cooking it after the recipe had been revealed, Homer told him that his father would live on as people cooked his recipe.
Behind the Laughter
Wilhelm's name is a reference to Kaiser Wilhelm II. His chef hat also features a similar spike to the Pickelhaube, commonly associated with the Prussian Army.
In the press release for "Stew Lies", Mads Mikkelsen was stated to voice Wilhelm von Wonthelm.[1] However, the character was voiced by Maurice LaMarche in the final release.
