Francis Scott Key was an American lawyer, author, and amateur poet, who was most famous for writing of the United States' national anthem.

History

Bart once did an oral report about Francis Scott Key, where he said he was a rock star and that he wrote the national anthem because he needed something to get his fans back when they started listening to British music during the ongoing war.[1]

A song by Ted Nugent includes the lyrics "suck on that, Francis Scott Key."[2]
