Animal Information
|
Stinky and Wrinkles were two goldfish that lived in an aquarium in Edna Krabappel's classroom.
History[edit]
When a yo-yo craze swept through Springfield Elementary School, Bart attempted a yo-yo trick he had made up, called "Plucking the Pickle", in the classroom when Mrs. Krabappel's back was turned. Unfortunately, the trick failed, and Bart's yo-yo flew out of control and hit the aquarium, smashing it open. The water and the fish spilled out and the two fish died. Bart tried to deny responsibility for what had happened, but his denial rang hollow as his yo-yo was in the broken aquarium and still attached to his finger by its string.
Groundskeeper Willie came in to clean up the mess. He scooped up the fish and told Mrs. Krabappel not to worry, as the fish were going to a better place. Willie then left the classroom, carrying the fish. Immediately after he left, the sound of a toilet flushing was heard, so presumably Willie flushed the fish down a toilet.
Bart tried to mollify Mrs. Krabappel, empathizing with her by saying that everyone was upset over the untimely demise of Stinky and Wrinkles. However, she was unmoved and punished Bart by giving him a month's detention and confiscating his yo-yo. While Bart was serving his detention, he saw a personals ad that Mrs. Krabappel had placed in the local newspaper, which gave him the idea to prank her by answering her ad.
