History[edit]

When the Daily Fourth Gradian was losing money, Skinner hired a new editor, Billy. Billy immediately fired Hubert Wong to assert his authority. He turned the Daily Fourth Gradian into an online clickbait news site. When Lisa questioned him, he made Lisa into a TV recapper.

Later, when Lisa published Homer's story on the Google-Disney CEO creating fake shows to get subscriptions to TV services, Billy replaced the story with a clickbait story about cooking scrambled eggs.[1]

Billy was part of the Murmur Nation, the fan group of pop singer Ashlee Starling. He and the other members of the group started to attack and prank Homer after he insulted Ashlee Starling on TV. These attacks escalated into a war against Echo and her fans, the Echolaliacs. Eventually, Billy and Mackenzie told Homer that they had stopped their attacks against him.[2]
