Character Information
|
Tweedleburger was an explorer. He is portrayed by Otto in a story told by Marge.
History
Tweedleburger was a part of the Lewis and Clark expedition to find the Pacific Ocean. During the expedition, Sacagawea told him not to eat some poisonous berries. Tweedleburger told Sacagawea that her attitude was poisonous then ate the berries. As he died, he said that people would remember the expedition of Lewis, Clark and Tweedleburger.
Behind the Laughter
The expedition had only one fatality. Kentucky-native Sergeant Charles Floyd died at age 22 with Lewis at his bedside in the early hours of August 20, 1804 three months into the journey in what is now Sioux City, Iowa.
He did not died from ingesting poisonous berries nor warned against so by Sacagawea as modern medical historians have concluded he died from a ruptured appendix and Sergeant Floyd and Sacagawea never met each other as Lewis and Clark first meet Sacagawea on November 4, 1804.
