The Pacific Ocean is the largest ocean in the world and adjoins the west coasts of North and South America as well as Far East Asia, East Siberia and Oceania.

History[edit]

Grampa Simpson has told stories about his service in World War II in the Pacific theater.[2][3][4][5][6]

Mr. Burns recalled how came to have his long-lost son Larry and Larry wondered what happened to his mother Lily. After Larry was born Lily's family had her bundled off to a convent in the South Seas (another name for the Pacific south of the equator).[7]
