After Marge cheated in a baking contest she said to Lisa that she can be a winner with feet of clay like Mickey Mantle, and everyone loves the Mick. Lisa told her then that she doesn't want Mickey Mantle, she wants her mom.[2]

After Homer woke up in a bed in Costington's he did a endorsement for the bed, which The Rich Texan told him was the best endorsement he had heard since Mickey Mantle endorsed Maypo, and he bought five mattresses.[3]

When Homer fell into the couch, he encountered a Mickey Mantle rookie card, which said he was still in mint condition. Homer told the card that it was the greatest treasure of his youth. Homer then noticed a Rubik's Cube and ripped the Mickey Mantle card and went to play with the Rubik's Cube instead. When Homer wanted to get out of the couch, the Mickey Mantle card told Homer that he was now part of the couch.[4]
