Alf Clausen (born March 28, 1941) is an American composer. He served as the composer for The Simpsons from season 2 to season 28. He was also interviewed in The Simpsons: Access All Areas and The Simpsons: America's First Family.
On August 30, 2017, Alf Clausen told Variety that he had been fired from the show as they wanted "a different kind of music".[1] Clausen's last official episode as main composer was "Whistler's Father", although he also composed music for the song "Nobody Knows Hans Moleman" in the episode "Grampy Can Ya Hear Me". However, he received the honorary credit of "composer emeritus" until the end of season 32.
