Phloem is an alien who absorbed everyone on Earth to take their consciousnesses to a utopia.

History

When Lisa got taken over by the plant pods, she woke up to meet Phloem and Xylem. The two of them explained how they saved everyone on Earth and brought them to their utopia. When Marge told Phloem that Lisa was a vegetarian, Phloem called Lisa a murderer, before laughing and saying he was kidding. He then offered Lisa a piece of his ass. They then went on to explain that they saved everyone as they were too addicted to their phones and devices. Phloem then asked where everyone got phones from, and Bart told him they found them wrapped under Herb Tannenbaum.
