Synopsis[edit]

In this year's installment of the annual fright-fest, the town is menaced by a mysterious murdering monster from out of the sewers, Krusty has a demonic special guest on his live Halloween special, and we go a thousand years into Springfield's poseable plastic post-apocalyptic future.

Plot[edit]

America the Beautiful[edit]

A family is outside their house happily celebrating Halloween when it starts raining, and they see a werewolf representing trade wars, Frankenstein's Monster representing pronouns, and Death representing the measles outbreak. They run inside to hide from them and watch the only place safe in America, network television, switching on The Simpsons. Outside the window, Matt Groening is happy, wearing a shirt representing series creator sickos.

The Last Days of Crisco[edit]

At Lard Lad Donuts, Wiggum is investigating a break-in where someone took the grease that they fry the donuts in, Grandma Slick's Pure Frying Lard, and gets killed by something coming from the sink, made of grease. Quimby is holding a press conference on the matter and nominates Lou as the next chief of police. To help with the investigation, he calls an expert, Moe, who tells people that all the fat and grease formed the Fatberg monster in the sewers. He suggests stopping the state fair too, but Homer and Bart stop them with a bribe to avoid losing money over it.

Lou tries to affirm his position, but Quimby nominates Eddie instead of him, and the state fair starts. It starts calm, but suddenly after some false alarms, Üter gets caught by Fatberg, and Lou shouts to people to run away as more and more get eaten, including Bart. Homer repents his decision and creates a plan to catch the monster with a hat-a-pult, but gets eaten. The monster, however, dies from ingesting him, and Lou goes with his fiancée to enjoy the fair, though it's all destroyed.

Clown Night with the Devil[edit]

During The Krusty Halloween Special on Halloween night of 1995, the producer has cut a great deal to reinvigorate the show's decline. The segment "The Yuk-sorcist" starts, and Mr. Teeny plays the part of the possessed. He starts talking like he has the Devil inside and then tears Sideshow Mel's face apart, with the audience screaming, which actually increases the viewership at home.

When the "Krusty's Kooky Kostume Kontest" starts, Ralph gets turned inside out by the Devil coming out of him. The Devil starts killing people and picks Krusty up, as he's there to collect on the deal that Bart made to keep him on top by canceling the competition. The Devil is there to collect Krusty's eternal soul and summons the characters from the canceled shows to drag him to his workshop. Bart tries to stop him, offering himself, and he gets dragged down. In the end, in the modern era, Krusty tries to sell the tape exclusively to Netflix, saying not even the Devil can save his show now that streaming has crushed the TV business, with the Devil supporting him, but they get dragged into many questions regarding how it'd fit in modern times.

Plastic World[edit]

Plastic World.png

Earth was once a lush green planet, despite the occasional asteroid killing the dinosaurs, but then they became oil and then plastic, causing the world to become a plastic world. The world has become post-aplasti-lyptic. Lisa is a leader dreaming of a sustainable future for humanity and how it once grew plants in dirt. Milhouse and Skinner emerge from a hole saying they found dirt, but Milhouse has only found a magazine called Celebrity Dirt.

Protesting about not finding anything, Milhouse starts shaking the dump floor, and suddenly it all caves in, and they find themselves in front of the Kwik-E-Mart, where they find long-lasting food and seeds. However, the joy is interrupted as raiders appear, led by Bart, who survived. They start fighting but then hear Homer and Marge's voices. Once outside, they reveal they survived too by falling into nuclear waste filled with plastic, and they became plastic too.

Homer, Marge, and other plastic Springfielders try to convince them to become like them, but they resist using fire and spicy Cheetos, even on their parents. All food and the others are gone, and Bart and Lisa find themselves as the end of humanity, but from the Squishee machine where their parents died comes out Maggie, the next evolution of humanity. In the end, it's shown that one of the Maggies was the narrator of the story, as the world is now entirely based on plastic Maggie.

Production[edit]

The introductory couch gag was created by The Onion's political cartoonist Stan Kelly.
