Clifford Burns is Charles Montgomery Burns's natural father and a seemingly pleasant man and loving father.

History

He was married to Daphne Burns.

Sometime before Charles was taken away, Clifford found his son reading comics books and expressed his dislike of his son reading comic books rather than socializing. To teach his son a lesson he bought the comic book company and closed it down.

He apparently knew of his own father Wainwright's ill-will but was unable to stop Wainwright from abducting his son, adopting him, and corrupting him into a miser.

Clifford had various children, including Charles and George.
