Milton Haas, nicknamed "Ox" and also "Oxford", was a soldier in the United States Army in Europe during World War Two. He was a member of the Flying Hellfish unit, along with Abraham Simpson, C. Montgomery Burns, Iggy Wiggum, Arnie Gumble, Sheldon Skinner, Griff McDonald, Etch Westgrin and Asa Phelps.

History[edit]

Towards the end of the war, the Flying Hellfish stormed a German castle, from which Private Burns stole a collection of paintings. As the unit discussed what they should do with the paintings, Burns brought up the idea of a "tontine." Haas, despite his dim appearance and personality, was the only member of the unit able to accurately define what a tontine was: an arrangement whereby the last surviving member of the unit would become the sole possessor of the paintings. Burns congratulated him by saying "Well put, Oxford". Haas then became the first member of the unit to die, of a hernia he got while carrying the crate of paintings out of the castle.
