The Duc de Springfield was the feudal lord of Springfield in medieval France.

History[edit]

He asked Marguerite to make a tapestry of several things for him in exchange for two pennies. He then walked out of her house and killed the sheep outside, and their wool became demon wool. This wool possessed Marguerite and made her weave a different tapestry until the duke came back to get it. He saw it wasn't what he asked for, although he liked it, so he burned down their house and rode off on a horse. The horse fell off a narrow road and the tapestry hanged the duke from a tree. French citizens then beat his dead body as it hung there.
