When Principal Skinner made the joke "You know, when Superintendent Chalmers suggested a school mural, I almost thought he said 'a school Muriel'." and didn't get a reaction from the crowd, Bruce Vilanch, who wrote the joke, said "Whoopi would've made it work."[2]
A picture of Whoopi Goldberg was on a picture of hosts of The View on the wall of clowns who had quit performing on television in the restaurant Mussel & Flanks.[3]
