Denim is an alien symbiote from the planet Wrang-lor.
History
When Homer was trying on jeans in The Generous Cut, Denim appeared out of a portal and slid into Homer's dressing room. Homer was struggling to find new pants that fit him and he liked until he tried on Denim. He bought the pants then went to Irv's Non-Canonical Diner to try and get a date with Marge. However, as he was working up the courage to talk to her, Snake tried to rob the diner. Denim took control of Homer's legs and fought Snake, strangling him with his legs until he passed out. A police car then was on its way, so Denim decided that they had to run to avoid the police. When they made it into an alley and escaped from the police, Denim revealed that he was from the planet Wrang-lor, which had been devastated by acid rain. Denim then escaped to Earth, where he chose Homer as his host as his "undercarriage" was wide and his "methane exhausts" were nourishing.
Denim told Homer that he could get him the thing he wanted most in the world. At a club, Homer asked Marge to dance. Marge refused at first, so Denim started to make Homer dance, which impressed Marge. They then went back to his apartment, but Denim refused to be removed from Homer's body, so Homer and Marge had "outercourse" instead. Marge eventually moved in, but found it weird that Homer never took his pants off. She told Homer that she wanted to get further than third base sexually, so Homer decided to explain about Denim, but Denim made him leave the apartment before he could. At Moe's Tavern, Homer and Denim got drunk and ended up asleep back in the apartment. Seeing this, Marge decided to take Denim off Homer and put him in the washing machine. When Homer woke up, he was in new pants and was shocked and scared about Denim's disappearance. Denim then escapes the washing machine and tries to kill Marge, as she escapes from Homer and Denim. As Denim tries to chase after Marge, dragging Homer with him, Homer stabs his own leg, hurting him and Denim. Denim then leaves Homer and chases after Marge alone, trying to find new hosts on his way there. He eventually gets on Marge and walks her up a building to eat her. Homer gets to the roof and says that their time together was the best time of his life and he didn't want anything to come between them again. When Marge tells Homer that she loves him too, Homer reveals that he was talking to Denim.
Later, Homer and Denim were playing video games together. Denim asks Homer if he had removed Marge as a friend on Facebook yet, and Homer replies, saying that he has. He then reluctantly admits that he hasn't yet, and Denim thanks Homer for his honesty.
