Moby Dick was a gigantic sperm whale, and the main antagonist of Herman Melville's novel of the same name.

History

According to Abraham Simpson, his ancestor Homer Simpson was a crew member on a whaling ship that was attacked by Moby Dick. Homer, who had a craving for whale meat, bit into the whale's tail, but ended up being dragged out to sea and vanishing in the Bermuda Triangle, along with his ship.
