History
Cookie was a good friend to the Simpsons. He invited them to dinner and lived with them. He died at some point when the family were at the ranch, shown at the end when Marge points to his gravestone. It is possible that he was the rancher who Rich Texan mentioned having accidentally killed after the dance.
Despite having died in the episode, a man who looks exactly like him appears in jail with the Simpsons in Bart-Mangled Banner. It is unknown if this is meant to be Cookie or not.
