When she goes on the one above her, Cookie is there. Cookie is also seen shooting a chicken. He has tied it up to a stump and points the gun at it commenting, "Free range my ass!" He died when the Simpsons were leaving the ranch. Marge Simpson comments "You're telling Me!" and points to his grave stone.

Cookie is the rancher that the Simpson family met at the Lazy I Ranch.

Cookie was a good friend to the Simpsons. He invited them to dinner and lived with them. He died at some point when the family were at the ranch, shown at the end when Marge points to his gravestone. It is possible that he was the ranger who Rich Texan mentioned having accidentally killed after the dance.

Despite having died in the episode, a man who looks exactly like him appears in jail with the Simpsons in Bart-Mangled Banner. It is unknown if this is the same man or not.
