Denim is an alien symbiote in the form of anthropomorphic jeans from the planet Wrang-lor.

History

When Homer was trying on jeans in The Generous Cut, Denim appeared out of a portal and slid into Homer's dressing room. Homer had been struggling to find new pants that fit him and that he liked until he tried on Denim. After buying the pants, he went to Irv's Non-Canonical Diner to try to get a date with Marge. However, as he was working up the courage to talk to her, Snake attempted to rob the diner. Denim took control of Homer's legs and fought Snake, strangling him with his legs until Snake passed out. When a police car was on its way, Denim decided they needed to run to avoid the police. They escaped into an alley, where Denim revealed he was from the planet Wrang-lor, which had been devastated by acid rain. Denim had escaped to Earth and chosen Homer as his host because his "undercarriage" was wide, and his "methane exhausts" were nourishing.

Denim told Homer that he could help him get what he wanted most in the world. At a club, Homer asked Marge to dance. Marge initially refused, so Denim made Homer dance, which impressed Marge. They then returned to his apartment, but Denim refused to be removed from Homer's body, leading to Homer and Marge having "outercourse" instead. Marge eventually moved in but found it odd that Homer never took off his pants. She told Homer that she wanted to progress further sexually, so Homer decided to explain about Denim, but Denim made him leave the apartment before he could. At Moe's Tavern, Homer and Denim got drunk and ended up asleep back in the apartment. Seeing this, Marge decided to remove Denim from Homer and put him in the washing machine. When Homer woke up in new pants, he was shocked and scared about Denim's disappearance. Denim then escaped the washing machine and attempted to kill Marge, chasing her as she fled from him and Homer. As Denim dragged Homer in pursuit of Marge, Homer stabbed his own leg, injuring both himself and Denim. Denim then left Homer and chased Marge alone, trying to find new hosts along the way. He eventually got on Marge and walked her up a building, intending to eat her. Homer reached the roof and said that their time together had been the best time of his life, and he didn’t want anything to come between them again. When Marge told Homer that she loved him too, Homer revealed that he was talking to Denim.

Later, Homer and Denim were playing video games together. Denim asked Homer if he had removed Marge as a friend on Facebook yet, and Homer replied that he had. He then reluctantly admitted that he hadn't yet, and Denim thanked him for his honesty.
