Allen Ginsberg was an American poet and one of the leading figures of the Beat Generation in the 1950s.

History[edit]

Lisa kept Allen Ginsberg's work on a bookshelf, next to Jack Kerouac's novel On the Road, Victor Hugo's novel Les Miserables and a collection of poems by Edgar Allan Poe.[1]

Apu's poem he recited at McBean's Coffee House was a tribute to the poetry of Allen Ginsberg. Krusty then said that it could be a tribute to the poetry of Ruth Bader Ginsburg for all he cared.[2]

When Marge was behaving like Agnes Flanders made Lisa her read the Howl by Allen Ginsberg loudly for here. When she find out at it had lots of swearing she was back to behaving like usual again.[3]
