McBean's Coffee House is a coffee shop owned by Rainier Wolfcastle, Krusty the Clown, and Troy McClure.

History[edit]

When Mr. Burns was at McBean's Coffee House, Krusty accidentally served him the wrong coffee. Krusty and Troy McClure then spoke about how their business was failing and tried to come up with ideas to save it. They tried to host karaoke and comedy shows, but both of these ideas failed. They then had gambling on the premises, until it was shut down due to the First Church of Springfield holding exclusive rights to all gambling activities in the community.

After Lisa and Martin had an argument over poetry at McBean's, Lisa gave Krusty the idea of hosting poetry recitals in the coffee shop. This proves to be a huge success and the coffee shop gets packed with people. Lisa and Martin then argue once again, this time on stage and through poetry. This leads to Martin getting thrown out. Martin then goes to Moe's Tavern and Moe sets up his own poetry night there, leading to a rivalry between McBean's and Moe's. Eventually, McBean's and Moe's work together to present Performance Art in the Park.
