The NBC representative was a person who was representing NBC at a meeting of television network executives.

History

The NBC representative being used as a flu test subject.

The NBC representative attended a meeting of television network executives who were discussing how to make people watch more TV. When he tried to join the discussion, one of the other executives cut him off and told him he was at the meeting to observe, not to speak.

After the executives decided to use a public health scare (specifically, House Cat Flu) to make people watch TV, they used the NBC representative as a test subject for the flu. They injected the NBC representative with the virus and it proved to be very effective, as the NBC representative died a swift and painful death.

Behind the Laughter

  • He was based on the NBC CEO at the time, Jeff Zucker. Originally there was also a joke about him, but as he was leaving NBC at the time of airing, it was removed.[1]
