Dr. Bartley is the easily-amazed assistant to Eliza Simpson.

History[edit]

Eliza Simpson and Dr. Bartley took on the case of the Mutton Chop Murderer, which Inspector Wiggum was also on. Simpson and Bartley visited the morgue where Bartley got amazed by a doorknob. Bartley followed Simpson around as she tried to solve the case, going to the Emporium of Exotica and Mao's in the Opium District. In Mao's, C. Ebenezer Burns identified Homer as the person he sold the swords that were used in the murders to, so Simpson and Bartley chased him down until he was caught by Inspector Wiggum.

After leaving the opium den, Simpson and Bartley found another body, which made them realize that Homer wasn't the murderer. The two of them then outed Inspector Wiggum as the murderer just before Homer was to be publicly executed.
