Spugna Roberto Quadrati Pantaloni is the title character and protagonist of the Italian animated series of the same name.
History[edit]
Spugna Roberto gives a gift to Squiduardo Calamari for his birthday - namely, a mine from World War II. As Squiduardo refuses to accept the gift, a seahorse floats by and presses the trigger button on the mine, causing it to explode and blow Roberto and Squiduardo to pieces. A female fish in funeral attire begins to cry and mourn Squiduardo's death. In the show, Roberto lived in a watermelon under the sea.
