King Gautama is a king and the father of Siddmartha Gautama.
History
King Gautama woke up Siddmartha to show her that he and his wife had bought her fifty ponies, which disappointed Siddmartha. Later, Siddmartha went to take a slice of cake from King Gautama, who was sleeping at the time. However, King Gautama said that it was his.
A statue of King Gautama was also erected near the palace.
